“Right now, it feels like whenever I do a space, the girls all want modern farmhouse, and the men all want modern industrial,” the celebrity design expert told PureWow.
So, what will 2020 bring? According to the Christina on the Coast star, “Just kind of like a play on those two styles by adding more black elements—black hardware—combining those two styles.” Farmhouse/industrial with plenty of black? Sounds chic.
Anstead went on to explain her overall approach to helping clients improve their home. Since she wants them to “love their space,” Anstead admitted that she’s open to hearing their ideas. However, some homeowners change their minds once they see what’s out there.
“Sometimes people think they know what they want,” she added. However, “When you present them with other ideas—like things they didn’t even think about doing—they can potentially love it.” Sounds like getting a second opinion before committing to a home upgrade is essential.
