Here’s What to Cook Every Night This Week (January 13 to 19)
It’s cold. It’s dreary. And dammit, there’s nothing to eat. While there isn’t much we can do about the weather, we can make sure you’re cozied up by the fireplace with a warm bowl of something delicious every night this week. Here’s what’s for dinner.
1 bunch broccoli rabe
1 spaghetti squash
1 pint cremini mushrooms
2 large russet potatoes
1 head kale
2 large sweet onions

20 ounces fully cooked sweet Italian turkey sausage
4 Italian sausages

3 pounds chicken (8 pieces total—thighs, breasts and drumsticks)
1 cup half-and-half
¾ cup heavy cream
½ cup Parmesan cheese
6 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cups whole milk
¼ cup cream cheese
3 cups grated cheddar cheese
Greek yogurt, for serving
12 ounces cheese tortellini
1 pound orecchiette
One 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes
Two 16-ounce containers low-sodium chicken broth
One 14-ounce can white beans
2 cups tomato sauce
Pantry Ingredients: Extra-virgin olive oil, bay leaf, dried oregano, dried thyme, kosher salt, freshly ground black pepper, ground cumin, ground coriander, garam masala, crushed red pepper flakes, garlic powder, nutritional yeast, dry white wine, whole-grain mustard.
Monday: Tortellini Soup with Italian Sausage
What do you get when you combine our favorite pasta (tortellini) with our favorite soup (tomato) and chunks of Italian sausage? This beaut, that’s what.
Tuesday: Slow-Cooker Chicken Tikka Masala Meatballs
Cooking Indian can be tricky, but we guarantee you can master this hybrid if you have a pantry that’s stocked with yummy spices.
Wednesday: One-Pot Mac and Cheese
Some nights, dinner is classy and sophisticated. This is not one of those nights. Luckily, this comforting classic is ready in half an hour (and will disappear from your plate in half that time).
Thursday: One-Pan Sausage and Broccoli Rabe with White Beans
