The Wait Is Over: ‘Virgin River’ Season 4 Finally Has a Release Date

After numerous delays, Virgin River season four finally has an official premiere date. And the even better news is the wait won't be long at all.

Netflix just confirmed the new season will premiere on (drumroll please) July 20. If that weren’t enough, the streaming service also released first-look photos from season four.

The never-before-seen photos feature some of our favorite characters, including Melinda “Mel” Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge), Jack (Martin Henderson), Preacher (Colin Lawrence), Hope (Annette O'Toole), Brie (Zibby Allen) and Mike (Marco Grazzini).

Back in September, Netflix renewed Virgin River for season five as well. But, according to Alexandra Breckenridge, we’ll have to wait a little bit longer for that season to arrive.

In a recent interview with Glamour magazine, the 39-year-old actress (who also stars in This Is Us) revealed the fifth season could be postponed due to production starting later than usual. “We were supposed to start shooting season five of Virgin River in March, but it was pushed to July,” she said. “So, had we started when we were supposed to, I don’t know that Sophie and Kevin would’ve ended up together.”

We’re still excited to hear Virgin River season four is coming out this summer!
