Now that the second half of The Lincoln Lawyer season two is streaming on Netflix, there’s only one question on our mind: Is the legal drama returning for season three?
While Netflix hasn’t officially renewed the show, there’s evidence to suggest that it will happen soon (including the fact that it’s currently the number one show on Netflix). Unfortunately, Netflix hasn’t renewed The Lincoln Lawyer for season three (at least not yet). However, it’s probably only a matter of time before the streaming service makes the announcement. Let’s discuss the evidence, shall we?
The show is a based on a book series, so there’s already more material to cover. Plus, season two was such a hit, it claimed the number one spot on Netflix’s list of most-watched shows within a matter of days. And finally, we need another season to resolve that cliffhanger.
The story is based on the book series by Michael Connolly and 2011 movie starring Matthew McConaughey. It follows an eponymous lawyer named Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), who operates out of the trunk of his Lincoln Town Car. The first season was based on the second book, The Reversal, since the film was inspired by the first. If everything goes according to plan, the third season will follow the fourth novel, titled The Gods of Guilt.
If the show gets renewed, we expect the main cast to reprise their roles. This includes Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (Mickey Haller), Jazz Raycole (Izzy), Angus Sampson (Cisco), Neve Campbell (Maggie) and Becki Newton (Lorna).
