Are you ready for blast-off? Because General Mark R. Naird and the rest of his crew are back for more adventures in the first official trailer for Netflix’s hit comedy, Space Force.

The series follows Mark R. Naird (played by Steve Carell), a decorated pilot who dreams of running the Air Force. But, he’s thrown for a loop after being chosen to lead the newly formed sixth branch of the U.S Armed Forces: Space Force. Though skeptical at first, he moves to a remote base in Colorado with his family, where he’ll work tirelessly to get the man on the moon.

Space Force Season 2 is expected to debut on February 18, 2022. The new installment picks up right where the cliffhanger left off, with Naird being sent to the court-martial for disobeying orders. In the first official trailer, we see the team trying to prove their worth to the new administration. So, do they have what it takes or will they crack under pressure?

Ahead of the season premiere, co-creator and The Office alum Greg Daniels sat down with Collider and shared that fans should expect a “stronger” and “funnier” season this time around. “Well, I think the big picture is that we are concentrating on the gags more. It is more about the comedy scenes between the cast,” Daniels explained.

“I think the stories are more personal and they're interesting, but I don't think the point of the show so much is like a highly arced thing, you know what I mean? It's kind of like each episode is a fun adventure with this cast, and there's a loose structure to it,” he added.

Bring on the space antics.
