This Brand-New Drama Is the #2 Movie on Netflix (& It’ll Have You on the Edge of Your Seat)

Looking for new Netflix content to add to your queue? Over the weekend, the streaming platform released one of its latest films and it’s packed with drama.

Called Sentinelle, the movie was released on Netflix on March 5, and in just four short days has already made its way into the top ten movies list. In short, the drama follows one woman’s quest to seek out revenge on a man who brought harm to her family. Oh, and did we mention she’s a trained soldier?

Netflix’s official synopsis reads, “Transferred home after a traumatizing combat mission, a highly trained French soldier uses her lethal skills to hunt down the man who hurt her sister.”

And critics seem to really enjoy this film (maybe even more than the audience did). In fact, Rotten Tomatoes gave the flick an impressive score of 71 percent, while the audience gave it a not-so-impressive 21 percent. However, considering the film has landed the number two spot on the streaming platform’s most popular movies list, we’re taking the audience score with a grain of salt.

Written and directed by Julien Leclercq, the film stars Olga Kurylenko (Quantum of Solace), Marilyn Lima (Mermaid in Paris), Michel Nabokoff (Rebels), Martin Swabey (Mr. Nobody), Carole Weyers (The Fault in Our Stars) and Andrey Gorlenko.

We love a good revenge story.
