This Bruce Willis Movie Just Hit #2 on Netflix & It’s Seriously Intense

Even though the holidays are rapidly approaching, Netflix users are opting for something other than Christmas movies at the moment. Rather than streaming the December favorites like The Grinch, Home Alone and Elf, we’ve noticed an increase in the number of action flicks ranking in the streaming service’s most popular movie list.

The latest to make the cut? Bruce Willis’s action-thriller, Marauders (don’t worry, we hadn’t heard of it either), which has made its way to the number two spot right behind Jennifer Garner. Although the movie didn’t get stellar reviews from critics (we’re looking at you Rotten Tomatoes), audiences are seemingly enjoying the action-packed scenes, bank robberies and the seriously impressive cast.

Keep reading for everything we know about Marauders.

In short, Marauders follows as a series of high-stakes bank thefts. However, it’s not long until the FBI gets wind and begins to suspect a sinister plan behind the deadly heists.

The official synopsis reads, “When a bank is hit by a brutal heist, all evidence points to the owner and his high-powered clients. But as a group of FBI agents dig deeper into the case—and the deadly heists continue—it becomes clear that a larger conspiracy is at play.”

The 2016 crime thriller film was directed by Steven C. Miller and written by Michael Cody and Chris Sivertson. In addition to Willis, Mauraders also stars Christopher Meloni (Law and Order: SVU), Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy), Adrian Grenier (Entourage), Johnathon Schaech (Ray Donovan) and Lydia Hull (Heist).

Hey, if anyone can produce a kick-ass action movie, it’s Bruce Willis.
