We Need More Alexandra Breckenridge & Mandy Moore Scenes After Last Night’s ‘This Is Us’ Episode

*Warning: Spoilers ahead*

Last night’s episode of This Is Us presented a power duo we never knew we needed…until now: Sophie (Alexandra Breckenridge) and Rebecca (Mandy Moore).

During this week’s installment, titled “The Night Before the Wedding,” viewers finally learned the identity of Kevin’s (Justin Hartley) mystery lover: Sophie.

The debate started during the previous episode after Madison (Caitlin Thompson) and Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson) found personal belongings in Kevin’s hotel room. PureWow previously predicted that Sophie was the culprit, but we didn’t realize the revelation would result in a powerhouse scene between Breckenridge and Moore.

The moment took place toward the end of the episode, shortly after Rebecca sang at Kate’s wedding. When Rebecca realized that Sophie seemed sad, she gave her a heartfelt pep talk that deserved more screen time. Rebecca wasn’t in the best state of mind due to Alzheimer’s—referring to Kevin as a 20-year-old—but her speech was shockingly spot on in terms of relationship advice for Sophie and Kevin.

“I love my son, but he is an idiot,” she said. “The timing is just off right now. He isn’t ready for you. He will be, but it’s gonna take a while. And I don’t know if you can wait around for that. But when the timing is right, he’s gonna be so great.”

Shortly after the episode aired on NBC, Moore posted a slideshow of photos on Instagram hinting that she’s #TeamSophie. Breckenridge re-shared the post on her personal Instagram account and wrote, “So happy to have a scene with this incredible force.”

Cheers to the first of many scenes between Breckenridge and Moore! Or so we hope.
