Gigi Hadid’s Facialist Swears By This DIY Green Tea Face Mask

There’s no denying it: Gigi Hadid’s skin is luminous—and for good reason. The 24-year-old model is a regular of celebrity facialist Mimi Luzon, whose other high-profile clients include Naomi Campbell, Kaia Gerber, Irina Shayk, Adriana Lima and, of course, Hadid’s sister, Bella. But in these unique times, it’s not like any of us can pop over to get a luxurious facial. And while Luzon’s signature gold foil face masks are incredible, we’re going through masks way too fast to justify the $349 price tag. So, when Luzon shared her go-to simple DIY facemask recipe, we made a beeline for the kitchen.

The celebrity facialist's easy mask doesn’t require much and, as Luzon explains, it’s an “excellent toxin cleanser” that “enhances skin tone and gives skin an instant glow.”

All the recipe calls for is one cup of green tea, two cups of rice flour and a half a teaspoon of honey. Mix that all together, massage the ointment into your skin and let it sit for 20 minutes. When the time is up, rinse it with water and take a look at your fresh, glowing skin.

How often should you be indulging in a mask? Luzon suggests using them “as much as possible,” adding that, “I currently do a different one every day.”

She also notes that, “Following Eastern skincare practices, it’s extremely beneficial for our skin to use a facemask with a different function every day; it could be firming, luminating, moisturizing or detoxifying. Of course, you can use any mask you have in the house every other day, or you can make your own treatments at home.”

Thanks to Luzon, we know what we’re getting into this weekend. Do we look like Gigi yet?
