I know it all too well: The feeling of compiling my Monday morning to-do list and suddenly realizing that my week has gone from semi-busy to overwhelmingly impossible. Which is why, I’ll basically try anything to help keep my stress in check. From keeping crystals on my desk to keeping organized lists, I’ve tried it all.
But then, the miraculous Pilgrim diffuser came into my life.
A chic wooden and ceramic canister, this diffuser looks rather unsuspecting. Entirely waterless, all you do is drop your favorite essential oil—I’m all about eucalyptus—into the small glass reservoir that’s hidden in the center. It then uses airflow, as opposed to water like other diffusers, to blow the essential oil directly into the air in the form of gentle mist. The result is a subtle scent that instantly calms you. It has an adjustable mist level, works on a cycle of two minutes on and one minute off and automatically shuts off after two hours.
My only complaint is that the mist production is a bit loud. But after a certain point, it sounds like white noise to me. (And I have lovely coworkers who weren’t too annoyed with me.)
All in all, it’s a pleasantly relaxing addition to your workday. Will it magically cross off the 37 items on your to-do list? Sadly, no. But will it make you less inclined to throw your entire to-do list out the window in a fit of despair? Absolutely.
