Hulu’s ‘Veronica Mars’ Gets First Teaser & Official Premiere Date

Hulu just dropped not one, but two Veronica Mars bombshells.

Today, the streaming service released an official premiere date and the first teaser for the highly anticipated reboot, which will hit Hulu on Friday, July 26. Oh, and did we mention that all eight episodes will be available at the same time? *Cancels all plans*

The teaser features our favorite private investigator, Veronica Mars (Kristen Bell), explaining that the new episodes will take place during spring break in Neptune. This includes everything from “sorority vomit” to “street scums” and “beach bums.”

The new season of Veronica Mars will introduce an all-new mystery: Someone is murdering spring breakers, ultimately affecting the town’s tourist industry. When Mars is hired by one of the victim’s families, she sets out to solve the mysterious case, all while battling scrutiny from the wealthy residents.

In addition to Bell, several original cast members will return for the revival, including Enrico Colantoni, Jason Dohring, Percy Daggs III, Francis Capra and Ryan Hansen. There will also be a few newcomers, like J.K. Simmons, Patton Oswalt and Kirby Howell-Baptiste.

We first learned about the Veronica Mars revival back in September 2018 when Bell announced the limited series in an Instagram post. Although it will be based on the original show, the 38-year-old actress warned fans that it will likely cause some controversy.

“This will be a controversial season. Let me just say that,” she said.

In fact, it’s so “controversial” that Bell won’t be live tweeting the show. “I am excited for people to watch, and I am also probably going to stay off the internet once it airs,” she continued. “There’s some stuff that happens that people will have strong feelings about.”

Oh, how we’ve missed you, Veronica.
