Tom Hanks Has Officially Recorded His Last Line as Woody and Can Someone Pass the Tissues?

All good things must come to an end. And it looks like it’s an end of an era for one of our favorite childhood movies. Tom Hanks just shared a picture of himself, Tim Allen and more recording their last lines for Toy Story 4.

The actors have voiced the two franchise leads Woody and Buzz Lightyear across three previous films since 1995 (yeah, we can’t believe it’s been more than 20 years either). So it’s no surprise that delivering their last lines ever would be more than emotional.

“Final line, final session as Woody of Toy Story 4. We rode like the wind, to infinity and beyond. Hanx,” he captioned the post.

But it wasn’t just Hanks who celebrated the moment on social media. Allen also turned to Twitter to share an emotional note. “Finished my Buzz for Toy Story 4 today and it got emotional,” he tweeted. “Wonderful full body story. You are all going to love the work this incredible team at Pixar created. We are all going to love this story….man its got everything.”

OK, so we weren’t there, but we sure feel like we were. And although there’s been no word regarding a possible Toy Story 5, it sure seems like this is the last time we’ll see our favorite cowboy sheriff and his astronaut BFF on the big screen.

Allen has already expressed that the film is so emotional that he could barely keep it together while recording. Aka, looks like we’ll be bringing extra boxes of tissues to this one.

Toy Story 4 hits theaters June 21, 2019.
