From Sister Sister promos to silly picture day stories, Tia Mowry never fails to fill our Instagram feeds with nostalgic moments. This time, though, the Family Reunion actress took a more creative approach to Throwback Thursday by sharing a recreation of her childhood photo (spoiler alert: she nailed it).
Mowry-Hardrict, 42, shared the old snap of herself from 2015 on Instagram and wrote, "#tbt It was so much fun recreating a photo of myself, I decided to do it again!! Here I am around 3-4 years old!! Why does this look like #cairo [heart emoji]."
On the left is her childhood pic (which, by the way, legit looks exactly like her daughter Cairo). It shows Mowry in pigtails, a fluffy white dress, white stockings and white shoes. And on the right, the actress flawlessly replicates the photo, all the way down to her foot placement and confused facial expression.
Fans were quick to call out the resemblance between the actress and her 2-year-old daughter. One fan said, "ALL I see is Cairo.... LITERALLY." Another commenter wrote, "Thought this was your daughter you were recreating."
Considering the fact that Mowry's toddler is known for her serious facial expressions, it comes as no surprise that so many fans mistook her for her daughter.
Had Mowry dressed Cairo up in the same outfit and compared the photo to her own, we just might have mistaken the pair for twins.
Mowry shares Cairo and her 9-year-old son, Cree Hardrict, with her husband Cory Hardrict. And just recently, the actress revealed that her son happens to be a big fan of Sister, Sister, which was made available on Netflix on September 2. Only two days after it debuted, she tweeted, "I’m in heaven. Watching #sister,sister with my son Cree! Thank you @netflix.”
Perhaps her lookalike daughter, Cairo, could make an appearance in the rumored Sister, Sister reboot. Talk about a two-way twister.
