Ashton Kutcher Has Bad News for ‘The Ranch’ Fans

Ashton Kutcher just confirmed what we didn’t see coming: The Ranch’s days are numbered.

Yesterday, the 41-year-old actor posted a cast photo on Twitter and announced that while there are still 20 more unaired episodes of The Ranch, the series will come to an end in 2020.

Kutcher shared a pic of himself, Dax Shepard, Sam Elliott and Elisha Cuthbert and wrote, “@theranchnetflix is coming to an end, but not just yet. We’re excited to bring you the final 20 episodes—10 streaming later this year (2019) on @netflix, and then 10 more in 2020. Stay tuned!”

The news comes one year after Netflix added Shepard to the cast. His involvement was in response to Danny Masterson’s (Jameson or “Rooster”) departure.

The Ranch, which originally premiered in 2016, tells the story of Colt (Kutcher), a man who returns home to his family’s ranch in Colorado after his failed football career. While there, he teams up with his estranged father, Beau (Elliott), in an attempt to prove that he can return to his roots.

Of course, it’s not all about livestock. Colt is also faced with a love triangle when he finds himself torn between his current girlfriend and his childhood fling.

If you need us, we’ll be rewatching all three seasons of The Ranch on Netflix.
