‘The Crown’ Star Emma Corrin Reveals the Strange Thing She’d Do if She Ran into Prince Harry

After much anticipation, season 4 of Netflix's The Crown finally dropped on Sunday. Of course, our attention was mainly focused on Emma Corrin, who appears as Lady Diana Spencer, in the show's first look at the Princess of Wales.

And while she’s already receiving rave reviews for her portrayal of the “People’s Princess,” there are two specific opinions she'd also like to hear—those of Prince Harry and Prince William.

In a new interview with GQ Hype, the 24-year-old actress was asked what she thinks the Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex would say of the new season. “I can’t imagine,” Corrin told the outlet. “I’m not going to say it doesn’t matter, because that would be ignorant. If someone made a program about my grandma, who died last year, that would be difficult for me to watch. I’d be interested to know what they think.”

As far as ever meeting the royal princes? Well, she would apparently do something quite strange in response. She continued, “If I ever saw them at a party, I’d probably leave!” That’s a first.

ICYMI: Corrin’s role as Diana will last for one season only, with Elizabeth Debicki replacing her for seasons five and six. “It’s a shame,” she said about her short stint on the series. “I’m sad about it. But I’ve moved on…”

It’s unlikely the royal brothers have ever seen the show. However, Prince William did make a joke about the series at the BAFTA awards in February. “I am particularly proud to stand here tonight having served as BAFTA’s President for the last 10 years” he stated in part of his speech. “However, I must admit I don’t know whether I should be proud, or slightly alarmed, about the number of winners over the last decade who have portrayed members of my own family.” William was clearly referencing stars from The Crown like Olivia Colman, who currently plays Queen Elizabeth in the popular show.

So, while we can’t say we relate to Corrin’s plan to run if she’s ever in the same room as Will and Harry, we guess we understand.
