‘The Crown’ Finally Gave Us an Up-Close Look at Emma Corrin in Her Princess Diana Wedding Dress

It’s been over 40 years since Princess Diana married Prince Charles at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London (we can’t believe it either). And now, The Crown is giving fans a new look at Emma Corrin’s version of Lady Diana Spencer in her wedding dress. And the similarities are uncanny.

Over the weekend, the hit series shared a never-before-seen photograph of Corrin in the wedding gown from the 1981 nuptials. "A first glimpse of Princess Diana’s wedding dress. Emmy award-winning costume designer Amy Roberts wanted to capture the same spirit and style of David & Elizabeth Emanuel’s original design, without creating a replica for Emma Corrin," the show's official Twitter account captioned the photo.

This isn’t the first glimpse of Corrin in the gown—the streaming service recently debuted the first footage from The Crown season four in a teaser trailer featuring Queen Elizabeth riding through the gates of Buckingham Palace, followed by a montage that concludes with Princess Diana’s wedding. However, the teaser only gave a glimpse at the back of the dress.

ICYMI: Season four will pick up right where we left off in the last installment, with new episodes likely covering the late ’70s and early ’80s of the royal family.

Just a few more weeks (November 15) until we get to witness the royal wedding all over again. And we can’t wait.
