Thanks to social distancing, couples are spending way too much time together and, in turn, learning things about their partner that they didn’t previously know. For some people, this could be that their significant other leaves wet towels on the floor or talks way too loudly with headphones, but for Sophie Turner, it has everything to do with Joe Jonas’s inability to get comfortable when no one’s around.
The Game of Thrones alum, 24, recently joined Conan O’Brien for an at-home version of his late-night talk show. While discussing her self-quarantine, Turner trolled her husband, who apparently wears jeans every. Single. Day. The conversation kicked off with the actress admitting that she enjoys virtual calls, since she doesn’t have to get dressed from head to toe.
“I love this. This is great, isn’t it? You don’t have to get dressed up. I’m wearing my sweatpants,” Turner said. “I’m business on top, party on the bottom.” Been there, done that.
The GoT star went on to say that she recently came across a meme that made her question Jonas’s wardrobe choices.
“I mean, this is something that’s only kind of come to my attention since this quarantine thing, but I saw…it was like a meme online or some comment or something and someone said, like, ‘If you’re wearing denim pants at home, like, what does that say about you as a person? Like, are you a psychopath?’” she explained. “And Joe does that. Joe wears denim trousers at home—where no one can see him. I’m not wearing denim trousers. This is the most dressed up I’ve been in days.”
Pants aside, Turner confirmed that she and Jonas haven’t run into any relationship issues during their self-quarantine (at least not yet). “Everything seems to be working out in my favor here,” she added. “Joe’s like—he’s a real social butterfly. So, I struggle to kind of lock him down and have him just spend time with me. So, it’s kind of like prison for him, but it’s great for me.”
Turner should be thankful she’s dealing with jeans and not something more risqué…like Speedo briefs. (Hey, we can dream.)
