Pregnant Serena Williams Reveals Gender of Second Baby in New Video

It’s official: Serena Williams is ready for baby number two.

Just hours ago, the tennis star, 41, uploaded a new video titled “The Big Reveal” to her personal YouTube channel,  where she announced that her second child is a—drumroll, please—girl!

The video (see below) documents Williams’s baby shower/gender reveal party. In the clip, Williams admits that she is a little “anxious” to find out the sex of her second child.

“Obviously I’m team pink, but I’m still a little nervous because I don't have any contingency plan if it turns out to be a boy,” she says to the camera.

The video cuts to Williams (who is wearing a pink and white skirt) and her husband, Alexis Ohanian, 40, standing next to a canopy covered with rainbow balloons and a colorful sign that read, “Our Next Great Adventure.” 

And of course, viewers are treated to a photo montage of the proud parents standing next to a similar colorful display with their 5-year-old daughter, Olympia, and she stole the show (once again!) with her numerous modeling poses. 

As the party goes on, Williams can be seen chatting with guests and family members. At one point, she and her older sister, Venus, pose for a photo with their father, Richard. Then, comes the moment we’ve all been waiting for: the gender reveal. 

Toward the end of the celebration, Williams is preparing to cut into a cake when she realizes that she’s being pranked by her husband, who didn’t add blue/pink coloring to the cake. Right on cue, fireworks light up the sky to spell out “It’s a...girl” in bright pink writing.

Williams and Ohanian announced they are expecting a second child while attending the 2023 Met Gala, where the tennis star showed off her growing baby bump to the world. The couple also shared the news on IG by posting a photo slideshow, which showed numerous snaps of Williams holding her belly.
