Selena Gomez Documented Her 30th Birthday Festivities with Pal Taylor Swift on Instagram: ‘30, Nerdy and Worthy’

Cheers to Selena Gomez, who just celebrated her 30th birthday!

The Only Murders in the Building star turned the big 3-0 this past Friday, which she evidently celebrated by having a low-key night with one of her best pals—Taylor Swift. Gomez posted a pair of photos from their evening together, where it appeared the two enjoyed a lovely outdoor dinner, complete with fairy lights, hanging lanterns and of course, presents.

In the pics, the birthday girl sports a white, pleated Gucci minidress with bell sleeves, while Swift is seen in a rust-colored dress covered in a floral pattern. “30, nerdy and worthy,” Gomez wrote in her caption. The two posed together for the first shot, where Swift holds up three fingers to represent Gomez's special birthday. Meanwhile, the second pic sees Swift giving a thumbs up as Gomez laughs at something while holding a wrapped gift.

It makes sense that Gomez recruited Swift to help her celebrate her 30th, because the two have been quite close over the years.

In 2019, Gomez shared a photo with Swift and expressed her gratitude for the singer's friendship, writing, “My ride or die… I would die for this one. Thank you for forever being by my side. You have taught me so much, walked through all of this with me, STAYED and you remind me to be a better, human being. I’m on your side for life.”

Of course, when it comes to Swift, fans are always looking for clues about music. And some seemed to believe that this post was a hint about the “Delicate” singer's next rerelease. After re-recording Fearless and Red last year, some fans thought Swift was hinting that Speak Now was next, as reported by Yahoo! Entertainment.

While it looked as if Swift's fingers represented Gomez's age, they could also symbolize her third studio album (AKA Speak Now). Meanwhile, Gomez is seen holding onto a purple napkin, which is the same color as Swift's dress from that album. Needless to say, we'll just have to wait to see if these were legitimate hints or if Swifties are just looking for clues.
