This brand-new Riverdale teaser is leaving us with more questions than answers. (Two words: Hal Cooper.)
In honor of the show’s highly anticipated return, the CW just dropped an extended trailer for the second half of season three, and it’s a doozy.

The video features a montage of scenes that would take an army to piece together. Still, one thing’s for sure: Hal Cooper (Lochlyn Munro) is back. (You know, Betty’s dad who was thrown into jail after confessing to being the Black Hood.)
The clip also debuts a brand-new character, Mrs. Mulwray, (Kelly Ripa), who can be seen pointing a gun at Jughead (Cole Sprouse) for what appears to be a robbery gone awry.
On the bright side, Betty’s (Lili Reinhart) perfectly coiffed ponytail is still intact. Riverdale returns to the CW on Wednesday, January 16.
