Sorry, Netflix: Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston Just Revealed Exciting New Deets About Their Apple TV+ Show

Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston are teaming up for the TV show of our dreams, and they just spilled new deets about their long-rumored pairing.

The Morning Show will air on Apple’s new streaming service that’s due out this fall, though no official premiere date has been announced. Witherspoon and Aniston will both star in and executive produce the show, which will center on the lives of anchors and producers on a typical morning TV show (think Good Morning America). Steve Carell will also star.

Witherspoon and Aniston, who last starred together when the Sweet Home Alabama actress had a cameo on Friends, took the stage at Apple’s big press event yesterday to intro the show.

“Through the prism of those under-slept, over-adrenalized people in front of and behind the camera, we take an honest look at the complex relationships between women and men in the workplace, and we engage in the conversation people are a little too afraid to have unless they’re behind closed doors,” Aniston said.

Carrell then made his way on stage. “I am just happy to provide the manliness,” he joked. While a trailer wasn’t shared at the press event, a few clips from the show were included in Apple TV+’s new sizzle reel above.

Also slated to star: Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Belle), Billy Crudup (Big Fish), Néstor Carbonell (Lost), Mark Duplass (Tully), Bel Powley (Royal Night Out), Karen Pittman (Luke Cage) and Desean Terry (Somebody’s Mother).

The Morning Show was first teased in 2017, when Apple announced a straight-to-series, two-season order with ten episodes per season.

We're thinking Anchorman meets Big Little Lies...aka the best TV show of all time. We're Elle-Woods-level excited.
