Gasp—Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip Won’t Be at Louis’s Christening. Here's Why…

It’s a big day for 11-week-old Prince Louis, whose royal christening is this afternoon.

Unfortunately, we’ve gotten word that great–Gram and Gramps (aka Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip) won’t be appearing at the ceremony, which is taking place at the Chapel Royal in St. James’s Palace, London. But don’t you worry—according to reports, the absence has nothing to do with their health. (The 92- and 97-year-old are just fine, thank you very much.)

It’s just that, well, the queen’s a busy lady. (You don’t say!) Filling the attendance void will be Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Pippa Middleton with her husband, among others.

Or maybe the two are spending this free time prepping for a World Cup party. Thoughts?
