Although Meghan Markle looked like a duchess during her and Prince Harry’s first public appearance as a married couple, it appears Queen Elizabeth isn’t buying it.
So, naturally, the queen has enlisted 49-year-old Samantha Cohen, a senior aide nicknamed “Samantha the Panther,” to train Markle on what it’s like to be in the royal family, according to reports.
For the next six months, she will guide the actress through duchess training and teach her everything there is to know about following protocol. To add to the pressure, Cohen is reportedly moving from Buckingham Palace to Kensington Palace to be closer to her new student. Dun dun dun.
Sure, we’d be surprised if Markle’s training doesn’t include an in-depth lesson on the dos and don’ts of fascinators. But the duchess’s education will include more than just public appearances. The Times reports, “It will be six months of listening. She is seeking out advice from a range of people. She is going to proceed with humility.”
