Priyanka Chopra Jonas Explains Exactly How to Write the Perfect Thank-You Note

Even in the digital age, Priyanka Chopra Jonas is a purist when it comes to thank-you notes and she doesn’t care who knows it.

When PureWow caught up with the 37-year-old The Sky Is Pink star to chat about her involvement with the Pilot Pen 2018 G2 Overachievers Grant selection, she revealed that her ties to the brand go deeper than her partnership. Why? Because she believes a hand-written thank-you note goes a long way (just like her friend Meghan Markle).

“Whenever I send flowers or cards, they’re always handwritten and I feel like there’s something so charming about that,” Chopra Jonas told PureWow in an exclusive interview. As tempting as text thank-you notes are, we have to agree.

Not surprisingly, Chopra Jonas hand-wrote all of her wedding thank-you cards (using a Pilot pen) after exchanging vows with her now husband Nick Jonas last December.

As a staunch believer in the power of a personal thank you, Chopra Jonas says she has a couple of rules she always abides by when sending a note.

“I am a believer that when you write a thank-you note, it has to be in black ink,” Chopra Jonas said. “My stationery is ivory, so I love the way black pops over blue and I think it looks more refined. The second thing is that I think it’s really important to make it personal. Make sure you find an anecdote or something personal to say thank you with.”

Like what? Chopra suggests talking about “what was in the gift [and] how it made you feel.” She added, “I think that always goes a long way.”
