Princess Sofia Reveals Name & First Photo of Newborn Son

Last week, Princess Sofia and Prince Carl Philip of Sweden welcomed their third child together. And now, we finally know the newborn’s name.

Earlier this week, the Swedish royal family shared a never-before-seen photo of the baby on their official Instagram account (@kungahuset). Thanks to the caption, we can confirm that his name is Prince Julian.

The pic shows Prince Julian laying on a bed of comfy white sheets as he stares off into the distance. The newborn is wearing a cream-colored onesie, which features ruffle details along the neckline and sleeves. According to the caption, the photo was taken by proud dad Prince Carl Philip.

We first learned about the baby’s arrival on March 26 when the Swedish royal family announced that Princess Sofia gave birth earlier that day at Danderyd Hospital in Stockholm.

“We are so happy and grateful to be able to welcome our third son to our family,” Prince Carl Philip said in a statement. “Princess Sofia and I, and his two big brothers, have all been longing for this day. And now we are looking forward to getting to know this new little member of our family.”

Prince Julian has two older siblings: Prince Alexander (4) and Prince Gabriel (3). Oh, and he’s currently seventh in line to the Swedish throne. NBD.

Congratulations to the entire royal family on their newest addition!
