Princess Beatrice’s Soon-to-Be Stepson Is Set to Play a Major Role at Her Wedding

Wedding bells are ringing for Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. And while their bridal party hasn’t yet been announced, there’s one little boy who’s definitely involved.

According to People, the 38-year-old real estate magnate’s 3-year-old son, Christopher (from his past relationship with architect Dara Huang), will be a pageboy in the May 29 ceremony.

Understandably, Huang and Mapelli Mozzi have kept their son out of the spotlight and off Instagram, but he’ll seemingly be center stage at the wedding. Mapelli Mozzi shares joint custody of his son with his ex-girlfriend, who splits time between London and Hong Kong. When he and the 31-year-old Princess of York announced their engagement, Huang issued a statement, saying, “I wish the best for Edo and Beatrice and look forward to uniting our families.”

According to People, Mapelli Mozzi is a very “involved” dad and Beatrice has comfortably stepped into her upcoming role as a stepmother. They also hope to have children of their own when the time comes.

In addition to news of Mapelli Mozzi’s son serving as a pageboy at their royal wedding, Buckingham Palace also revealed where the nuptials will take place.

Today, the palace released a statement confirming that the couple will exchange vows at St. James Palace’s Chapel Royal. The traditional ceremony will be followed by a reception in the gardens of Buckingham Palace.

“The wedding of HRH Princess Beatrice of York and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi will take place on Friday 29th May 2020,” the palace explained in a statement. “The couple became engaged in Italy in September 2019. Her Majesty the queen has kindly given permission for the ceremony to take place at The Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace. The ceremony will be followed by a private reception, given by the queen, in the gardens of Buckingham Palace.”

Better get that tiny tuxedo ready, little guy.
