Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson just shared a rare photo and heartfelt message in honor of Princess Beatrice (who was supposed to get married today), and we’re totally digging the royal’s throwback haircut.
Earlier today, the Duchess of York, 60, posted a never-before-seen photo from Princess Beatrice’s childhood. In the caption, Ferguson paid tribute to her daughter, 31, who canceled her wedding with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The photo shows Princess Beatrice, who is around 3 years old at the time, waving at the camera. The young royal is wearing a formal dress and sporting a hairdo that screams early ’90s. (If you know, you know.)
Ferguson captioned the post, “Love you my darling Beatrice. You have given me more joy than I could ever wish for. I am so excited to celebrate yours and Edo’s love when we all are out of lockdown. The most important thing is health and love and today I send it to you and all the other people that were getting married during this time…so proud of you all.”
Princess Beatrice and Mozzi were supposed to tie the knot on May 29 at the Chapel Royal in St. James’s Palace. However, due to social distancing restrictions, the couple decided to postpone the nuptials until further notice.
“There are no plans to switch venues or hold a bigger wedding,” a spokesperson told People magazine. “They aren’t even thinking about their wedding at this time. There will come a time to rearrange, but that’s not yet.”
We have no doubt it’ll be worth the wait.
