Prince William & Kate Middleton Took a Sheep for a Walk (Seriously) During Today’s Royal Outing

Prince William and Kate Middleton just proved that even royals need an escape from reality on occasion.

Earlier today, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge traveled to the English countryside, where they paid a visit to Manor Farm (which is located about 15 minutes outside of Darlington). *Immediately Googles location*

While there, Prince William and Middleton tried their hand at several typical farm activities, like driving a huge tractor and meeting the animals. They also chatted with owners Clare Wise and Stewart Chapman, who shared details about how they manage the health and welfare of their livestock.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge even took a lamb for a walk, which (lucky for us) was captured by photographers.

During the outing, Middleton wore a white sweater and denim pants. She completed the look with a comfy jacket and brown boots. Prince William opted for an equally casual outfit, featuring jeans, a long-sleeve shirt and a puffer jacket.

The getaway is a pretty big deal because it’s one of the first times that Prince William and Middleton have been able to step out without face masks since the beginning of the lockdown. Although it marked their first journey outside of London since their train tour back in December 2020, we wouldn’t be surprised if the royal couple schedules more trips in the near future, especially now that COVID-19 restrictions are gradually lifting in the U.K.

If only that sheep knew how lucky he/she was.
