Prince William Is Giving Fans a Rare Glimpse Inside His Home Office (& There’s a Very Special Photo in the Background)

Prince William kicked off the weekend by giving royal fans a glimpse into his home office, and we almost missed the adorable family photo he keeps in the background.

On Friday, the Duke of Cambridge shared a video of himself at a typewriter to tease the forward he wrote for the upcoming book Earthshot: How to Save Our Planet. He wrote, “In my introduction to Earthshot: How to Save Our Planet, the authoritative book of The @EarthshotPrize, I wanted to share the early conversations in 2018 that led to the Prize’s creation and the simple equation that captures my theory behind Earthshot: Urgency + Optimism = Action.”

And while the majority of fans were immediately distracted by his unique way of typing (using his pointer fingers only), it didn’t take long for some to notice the sweet photo on display behind the duke’s right shoulder.

We immediately recognized the image, which we first saw back in April when William and Kate Middleton shared it on Instagram following the death of Prince Philip. The throwback pic shows Will’s grandfather, the Duke of Edinburgh, and his oldest child, Prince George, riding in a carriage and smiling at the camera. Oh, and we should probably mention that Middleton took the photograph herself.

In addition to the sweet snap, the father of three’s office also includes a box of flowers and a scenic painting on the wall. We also love the fact that he owns a pine green desk.

What a sweet way to keep his grandfather’s memory alive.
