Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may have said goodbye to their royal lives and packed their bags for Los Angeles, but they're still continuing to give back, especially to their new community.

It’s been reported by Entertainment Tonight that the duo joined Project Angel Food to deliver free meals to people suffering from serious illnesses. This is apparently the second time they volunteered for the charity, after also helping them on Easter Sunday. They began delivering prepared meals and emergency kits after learning about the drivers being overloaded on the busy holiday.

"I am blown away that they chose us. They care about our vulnerable population," Richard Ayoub, Project Angel Food’s executive director told ET. "Our clients are most at risk to contract the coronavirus, having compromised immune systems including heart disease, lung disease, diabetes and most are over the age of 60."

A source told the site, Meghan and Harry were following the social distance guidelines (including protective gear) and made over 20 deliveries.

The charity serves those who are too sick to shop and cook for themselves. They have cooked and delivered over 600,000 meals all over Los Angeles County, bringing more than 12,000 meals to 1,400 people every week. For the first time, the organization had to suspend their volunteer service, which made an impact on how they provide resources to those in need. However, with help from people like Harry and Meghan, the 30-year nonprofit has kept moving forward and making a huge difference.

Since their royal exit, the couple has been working hard to build their own nonprofit. They’ve been submitting proposals under the name Archewell with a heavy emphasis on supporting efforts to tackle the current COVID-19 pandemic.

"To do something of meaning, to do something that matters. Archewell is a name that combines an ancient word for strength and action, and another that evokes that deep resources we each must draw upon. We look forward to launching Archewell when the time is right," they said in a statement to People

Glad to see Meghan and Harry doing their part during this rough time.
