It feels like it was just yesterday that we were watching Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s horse-drawn carriage ride through Windsor after they tied the knot. And as it turns out, “I do” wasn't the only special phrase spoken that day, according to a new book on the couple.
Called Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family, the biography features never-before-heard stories about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, including details about a private conversation had between the couple on their royal wedding day.
Per the biography, written by royal reporters Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, while the couple waved to the crowd as they departed St. George's Chapel in the carriage, Harry was having somewhat of a wardrobe issue. Per Hello!, the authors wrote, “Sitting down in the carriage beside his bride, Harry laughed that his trousers were 'too tight.’” Beauty is pain, Harry.
It’s important to note that neither the duke nor the duchess had anything to do with the tell-all book. A spokesperson released a statement on behalf of Prince Harry and Markle which read, “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not interviewed and did not contribute to Finding Freedom. This book is based on the authors’ own experiences as members of the royal press corps and their own independent reporting.”
