Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Are Traveling to New York (Again)—Here’s What We Know

It’s been more than a month since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attended the queen’s Platinum Jubilee in London. And now, they’re preparing to make their next public appearance.

Next week, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are traveling to New York for a super-special occasion. Per Hello! magazine, Prince Harry is set to address the United Nations during an official gathering on July 18.

The royal is giving the keynote address for the UN General Assembly. Since the event is taking place on Nelson Mandela Day, the outlet reports that his speech will likely “focus on the effects of climate change and world hunger.”

Unfortunately, the couple aren’t sharing details about their trip to New York, including whether they’ll be accompanied by their two children, Archie (3) and Lilibet (1). However, they surprised everyone at the queen’s Jubilee by bringing their kids across the pond, so anything is possible. *Crosses fingers*

This won’t be the first time that Prince Harry and Markle have attended the United Nations Assembly. Their last appearance took place in September 2021, but they didn’t take the stage.

Still, the upcoming gathering will mark Prince Harry’s first keynote address at such an event. Perhaps he’ll get some tips from Markle, who gave a speech at the 2015 UN Women conference.
