Prince Harry Opens Up About Potentially Moving to Africa with Meghan Markle and Baby Archie

Major changes may be in order for Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and their son, Archie.

During an interview with journalist Tom Bradby during their new documentary, Harry & Meghan: An African Adventure, the 35-year-old Duke of Sussex explained that he and his wife are considering a continental move to Africa.

Prince Harry candidly revealed that he feels “more like myself” when he’s in Africa. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently wrapped up a ten-day tour of Malawi, Angola, South Africa and Botswana.

But, although the family would welcome a move, they’re not quite ready to switch things up just yet.

“I don’t know where we could live in Africa at the moment,” Harry said during the documentary. “We’ve just come from Cape Town, that would be an amazing place for us to be able to base ourselves, of course it would. But with all the problems that are going on there I just don't see how we would be able to make as much difference as we want to without the issues and the judgment of how we would be with those surroundings.”

Regardless, the duke says the continent will remain one of their primary philanthropical focuses: “The rest of our lives, especially our life’s work, will be predominantly focused on Africa, on conservation,” Prince Harry said. “There’s a lot of things to be done. There’s a lot of problems here, but there’s huge potential for solutions.”

Whether in Windsor, England, or Africa, we’ll be cheering you on, Harry, Meghan and Archie.
