Prince Charles’s Birthday Wishes to Prince Harry Were...Surprisingly Simple

Prince Charles may not be able to spend Prince Harry's birthday with him in person, but that doesn't mean he’s not celebrating in his own way.

To honor his youngest son on his 36th birthday, the Prince of Wales shared a short (yet sweet) tribute to Harry on social media. “Wishing a very happy birthday to The Duke of Sussex today!” he captioned a slideshow including two photographs alongside a birthday cake emoji. The first snap is a solo shot of the prince, while the second features both Charles and Harry smiling and laughing while attending the Invictus Games

The Duke of Cornwall wasn’t the only royal-relative to send their wishes. Prince William, Kate Middleton and Queen Elizabeth also shared their own heartfelt posts for the now 36-year-old. The 94-year-old monarch captioned a throwback photo of herself and her grandson, “Wishing The Duke of Sussex a very happy birthday!”

We’re guessing this isn’t the only contact the father-son duo will have today. It’s highly likely that the two will participate in a birthday Zoom chat with the rest of the royal family members, considering that’s how they have been staying connected over the past few months.

As far as the local celebrations go, the Duke of Sussex is spending his special day privately in his new Santa Barbara home with wife Meghan Markle and 16-month-old son Archie. It’s also possible Markle’s mom, Doria Ragland, will be participating in the festivities as well, since she lives in the couple’s guest house part-time.

Even from across the pond, Prince Harry is getting all the support he needs from his family.
