Yes, Meghan Markle Is Missing from Will & Kate’s Birthday Post, But Everyone Needs to Calm Down

Prince William and Kate Middleton just shared a special tribute on Instagram in honor of Prince Harry’s birthday. But it didn’t take long for us (and the rest of the world) to notice that Meghan Markle was missing from the post.

It all started earlier today when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge posted a throwback photo on their joint Instagram account. The pic was taken in February 2017 at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, when Prince William, Middleton and Prince Harry participated in a spur-of-the-moment relay race.

Markle wasn’t mentioned in the post, which caused quite a number of royal observers to question whether this was on purpose and whether it indicated some deeper level of family drama. But, frankly, we’re not all that worked up about it.

First of all, it’s Prince Harry’s birthday. There’s absolutely no reason why Markle would need to be included in the tribute. Second of all, Markle wasn’t even there when the photo was taken. If Prince William and Middleton cropped her out, it would be an entirely different story.

And lastly, it’s a really cute photo that sums up their close-knit relationship. It’s rare to see candid shots of the royal, so as much as we would’ve loved a Fab Four shout-out, we don’t blame Prince William and Middleton for selecting this particular pic.

Not to mention, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have wished Markle a happy birthday on several occasions, so we highly doubt there’s any bad blood.

Can we all relax now?
