Move Over, Harry and Meghan: Oprah Just Teased a Major New Interview

Say whatever you want, but Oprah Winfrey’s famous sit-down interviews have always been an absolute must-watch. As the royal aficionados that we are, it’s practically impossible to forget the infamous Meghan Markle and Prince Harry tell-all interview that practically shocked the world. And it would also be a crime not to mention the powerful conversation between Winfrey actress and Viola Davis in their Netflix special this year.

This time around, the media mogul will be sitting down and chatting with an actress who has one of the biggest shows on television right now. Just a couple of days ago, producers in charge of the OWN network Instagram account shared a picture of the former talk show host standing next to Abbott Elementary creator Quinta Brunson, Winfrey’s next interview subject.

The snapshot shows Winfrey and Brunson standing in a setting of vibrant greenery, which has become a signature location for her candid interviews.

Brunson even shared the same photo on her page and encouraged all her followers to “tune in.”

The televised special will allow viewers to see a side of Brunson like never before. According to an article published by Oprah Daily, the Abbott Elementary star will open up about her childhood, her mentors and some pivotal career moments. And she will discuss the inspiration behind her show and how “the world was ready” for it.

The comedy series recently began its second season on ABC, where we saw the return of our favorite teachers—Janine Teagues (Brunson), Gregory Eddie (Tyler James Williams), Ava Coleman (Janelle James), Melissa Schemmenti (Lisa Ann Walter), Barbara Howard (Sheryl Lee Ralph) and Jacob Hill (Chris Perfetti)—as they tackled a new school year at Willard R. Abbott Elementary School.

Mark your calendars: The Oprah and Quinta Brunson Abbott Elementary special will premiere on OWN on Saturday, November 26, at 9 p.m. ET. The interview segment will be available to watch on HBO Max and Discovery+ the next day.
