Nicky Hilton’s Style Icon Is…Jennifer Lopez?!

When Nicky Hilton is getting dressed, she reaches for “skinny jeans, ballet flats and a blazer,” no matter what season it is. Her style icon’s go-to ensemble, however, couldn’t be more different.

During an interview with PureWow about her brand-new French Sole collection, the 36-year-old designer revealed that aside from her mom, Kathy, and sister, Paris, she looks to Jennifer Lopez for fashion inspiration. Yep, you read that right, despite Hilton’s go-to classic aesthetic, she’s all about J.Lo’s looks.

“I love women who have very individual types of style,” Hilton explained. “Like, Jackie O, how she always had her signature shades and I love J.Lo’s style.”

Hilton pointed out that no matter what Lopez is doing, “She always looks impeccable, from the hair to the makeup to manicure, the makeup, the jewelry, the bags. It’s opulent glamour.” We definitely have to agree.

In addition to the “El Anillo” singer’s fashion sense, Hilton also notes Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy as one of her style inspirations.

“I always loved her effortless glamour,” she shared.

But when shopping, Hilton keeps it classic and reaches for “investment pieces” instead of glamorous standouts she’ll wear only once or twice.

“I don’t really have the time to go shopping anymore, but as I’ve gotten older I’ve realized the importance of spending on those investment pieces, whether it’s a beautiful trench or blazer,” she explained. “The trendy items don’t interest me anymore.”

As much as we love a J.Lo moment, our sartorial taste is definitely more in line with Hilton’s.
