Netflix’s Never Have I Ever is officially returning for season two, which means we’ll finally be getting some answers about that love triangle between Devi, Ben and Paxton.

The coming-of-age comedy series, which was created by Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher, centers on Devi Vishwakumar (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan), an Indian-American teenager who's determined to revamp her image and climb up the social ladder at school. But of course, this proves to be a challenge for a number of reasons, including her father's passing and her strained relationship with her mother.

If you’re still obsessing over that cliffhanger from the finale (aren't we all?), then you're probably wondering if there are any hints about what happens in season two. Here's what we know about the show's renewal so far.

1. What's the plot for Never Have I Ever season 2?

Details about the new season’s plot haven’t been revealed yet, and it turns out that the cast doesn’t know much about it either. While chatting with Forbes, Ramakrishnan claimed that she’s “just as curious as the fans to know what's going to happen.”

She explained, “I truly don't know what Devi has planned, I don't know what's going to happen with her. I'm curious to know if she gets it together and cleans up her act.” Same here, girl.

2. Which characters are returning for season 2?

Maitreyi Ramakrishnan is definitely reprising her role as Devi. The main cast, including Poorna Jagannathan (Nalini), Richa Moorjani (Kamala), Darren Barnet (Paxton), Jaren Lewison (Ben), Lee Rodriguez (Fabiola) and Ramona Young (Eleanor), will also return.

As for the show’s narrator, John McEnroe, it still hasn’t been confirmed if he will return, but he did reveal in his interview with Entertainment Weekly that it would be “great” to continue narrating.

3. When will the second season premiere?

A release date has yet to be confirmed. However, since season one premiered in April of 2020, we can assume that season two will come in the later months of 2021 (since the coronavirus pandemic will probably slow down the production process).

4. Is there a trailer?

There’s no trailer yet—only an epic video announcement of the show’s renewal, which features the main cast. But when it does get released, we trust that it’ll be filled with punchy one-liners and even more steamy teen romances.
