Mindy Kaling might just be giving Jennifer Garner’s “Pretend Cooking Show” a run for its money.
Over the weekend, the Office alum shared a video tutorial of herself baking “cakey cookies” on Instagram and we’re definitely impressed. "Cakey cookies made possible by borrowed flour from @ikebarinholtz,” she captioned the post. (More on that later).
"Well, our bakeries might all be shutting down. So, what is a cookie lover to do but to bake her own cookies?” she said in the introduction of the clip. “So, that's what I'm going to do today, is make my favorite kind of chocolate chip cookies."
The Late Night star then assembled all of her ingredients, (the flour she revealed was donated by her Mindy Project co-star and friend, Ike Barinholtz) and made sure to wash her hands (twice) for the appropriate amount of time.
During the five-minute video, Kaling also revealed the secret ingredient she likes to add to her chocolate chip cookies—a touch of cinnamon. “People who hate it can never taste it when it’s in there, so I shouldn’t have told you,” she laughed. “It’s not as sweet as your typical chocolate chip cookie. But [it’s] bursting with flavor.”
Well, looks like we know what we’re doing this weekend, thanks to this baking pro. Your move, Jen.
