Meghan Markle showed up to class today, but we wish she was teaching us a course in royal style.
The expecting duchess stepped out for her first visit to the Association of Commonwealth Universities (one of the four patronages she was initially granted when she first became a working royal) at City University of London. She wore a black Givenchy coat (which she previously wore on Remembrance Day) with a black bespoke Givenchy pleated asymmetrical-hem skirt.
Markle topped the all-black look off with a ballerina bun and suede nude pumps, and we're digging the high-fashion graduation robe vibes we're getting here.
The duchess, who's about six months pregnant, also wore gold stud earrings by Canadian designer Dean Davidson. The “Midi Knockout” earrings retail for $160.
For her engagement today, Markle once again met with the ACU (she had a secret meeting with them back in December), chatted with a Marshall Scholar at City University London, met with students at the school and even Skyped a student studying in Ghana. (What we'd do to dial in to that Skype call...)
All right, kids, settle down. Class is in session, and we're counting on Markle to impart all her duchess wisdom. (Particularly the lesson about walking in five-inch heels while in her third trimester, please.)
