Welp, Meghan Markle Just Tipped Her Hat to Major Royal Fashion History

There's no denying that both Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle have great senses of personal style, but both women also know that when in doubt they can always refer to the OG fashionable royal, Princess Diana. So when Markle showed up at the Commonwealth Day 2018 celebrations on March 12, some couldn't help but notice the connection between her chic ensemble and one worn by the late, great Di.

Markle's crisp white beret was designed by milliner Stephen Jones, who also happened to be the hatmaker of choice for Princess Diana in the early '80s. Coincidence? We think not.

Kate Middleton has been mimicking the late princess’s incredible style for years (to the delight of royal obsessives everywhere), and Prince Harry says his mother and Markle would have been “thick as thieves, without question.” So really, why wouldn’t the actress want to study up on her hubby’s mother’s fashion choices? Now if only we too had access to Princess Diana’s favorite tiara
