Meghan Markle Brought a Surprise Guest to Her Royal Engagement at Windsor Castle on Friday (Spoiler: It Was Prince Harry)

Meghan Markle was joined by a very special (and unexpected) guest during an event at Windsor Castle on Friday morning.

The Duchess of Sussex was accompanied by her husband, Prince Harry, for a roundtable discussion about gender equality and inclusion with young leaders from a number of countries around the world.

Markle was originally supposed to attend solo, however, her hubby drove the couple to the engagement and even stayed for the duration. Lucky for us, the official @SussexRoyal Instagram documented parts of the event.

See the post below.

“Having attended the 10th Annual One Young World opening ceremony on Tuesday, The Duchess of Sussex was joined today by The Duke of Sussex for a round table discussion on gender equity with OYW and Queen’s Commonwealth Trust young leaders,” the caption read. “Over the last few days, these young leaders became @OneYoungWorld ambassadors with the intention to return to their communities and further existing initiatives to help change the world for the better.”

If you didn’t know, the duke is president of The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust, while the duchess is vice-president.

For the occasion, Markle chose an all-red look, pairing a lambskin BOSS by Hugo Boss pencil skirt with a cranberry V-neck sweater. The duchess completed her outfit with Sarah Flint's Perfect Pumps (her favorite) in cabernet suede.

We love waking up to surprises like these.
