Hear ye, hear ye! The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have confirmed their first appearance post-royal tour of Africa, and it's coming up fast.
Buckingham Palace Announced the Next Time We’ll See Meghan and Harry…and It’s So Soon
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are set to attend the WellChild Awards on Tuesday, October 15, Buckingham Palace announced on Tuesday. This marks the first time Meghan and Harry will return to the public spotlight since leaving Africa and the conclusion of their ten-day official tour with baby Archie.
Prince Harry has been patron of the WellChild charity, an organization that pays tribute to children who are seriously ill and show bravery in the face of hardship, as well as their parents and caregivers, since 2007. Prince Harry will give out the award for Most Inspirational Child, as well as deliver a speech, at this year's ceremony.
The award ceremony and reception will take place at London’s Royal Lancaster Hotel. The charity was one of four organizations to which Harry and Meghan asked people to donate instead of sending gifts for the birth of royal baby Archie, according to Hello! magazine.
Last year, the Sussexes attended the WellChild awards, which took place in early September. Markle wore a black blazer and flared suit pants by Altuzarra over a Deitas silk cami. The two showed quite a bit of PDA at last year's event...but, to be fair, they had just returned from a post-wedding vacay, reportedly in Markle's previous home of Canada.
Is it weird we're sorta giddy to see what fabulous ensemble the duchess has up her (perfectly tailored) sleeves this time? *Sets calendar notification for October 15*
