Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Are Asking Royal Fans for Help. Here’s Why.

From the beginning, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have established themselves as royals for the people. Now, they’re reaching out to fans to help spread their charitable efforts even further.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced via their @sussexroyal Instagram account that they’re on the lookout for new “causes, people or organisations” to highlight. The couple announced the news last night and—get this—they’ve already received more than 207,000 suggestions.

They kicked off the new initiative by posting an image that asks, “Who is your force for change?” (The new parents are referencing the British Vogue “Forces for Change” September issue that the duchess just guest edited.)

“Each month, we change the accounts we follow to highlight various causes, people or organisations doing amazing things for their communities and the world at large," the caption continues. "Over the next few days please add your suggestions into the comments section: someone you look up to, the organisation doing amazing work that we should all be following, an account that inspires you to be and do better (or that simply makes you feel good), or the handle that brims with optimism for a brighter tomorrow.” Um, is it just us or did Markle definitely write that last line?

The Sussexes will choose 15 accounts to follow by next Monday, August 5, “as we spend the month of August acknowledging the Forces for Change in all of our lives.”

Oddly enough, many commenters have suggested Prince William and Kate Middleton. Although the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are devoted philanthropists, we’re guessing Prince Harry, 34, and Markle, 37, are hoping for ideas that are a bit more under the radar.

Either way, we hope they have some help sorting through those 207,000 submissions.
