Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Share Halloween Message from Their ‘Little Pumpkin’

Meghan Markle celebrated Halloween with a sweet treat this year.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex wished fans a “safe and fun Halloween” yesterday from their shared Instagram account, @SussexRoyal, and casually revealed their timely nickname for their 5-month old son, Archie.

To celebrate the bewitching holiday, the 38-year-old Duchess of Sussex and 35-year-old Duke of Sussex shared a photo captured during their Oceania tour in which they posed with costumed individuals from Courtenay Creative. The New Zealand-based training facility for screen and creative industries gives young people the education to excel in the film industry. From the looks of it, a love of intricate costumes is a requirement for entry.

Markle and Prince Harry captioned the photo, “Happy Halloween! Wishing you all a safe and fun Halloween from our family (and our little pumpkin) to yours!”–TRH.” Yep, they’ve taken to calling Archie their little pumpkin and we kind of love it.

The caption went on to read, “This time last year The Duke and Duchess attended a special effects workshop while on their royal tour in New Zealand!”

The Duke and Duchess didn’t only include Archie’s low-key nickname, they even tacked on two emojis (a ghost and a pumpkin) for the occasion. How very spooky.

Although Archie isn’t visible in the photo, he’s technically a part of it since he was in Markle’s tummy at the time.

Fingers crossed they refer to Archie as their little turkey and gingerbread man as the holiday season progresses.
