Raise your hand if your primary reason for airline travel is to get those spicy, cinnamon cookies they hand out.
Good news: The same bakery that manufactures those cookies (which are called Biscoff, by the way) is introducing a line of ice cream to the United States.
Lotus Bakeries, which is known for its traditional Dutch speculaas cookies and cookie butters, is bringing its collection of Biscoff ice creams stateside, in five flavors, no less. According to a press release, the lineup will include “both pint and bar formats” and the flavors all have “crunchy Biscoff cookies and cookie butter inclusions.” That includes Original, Chocolate Brownie, Salted Caramel, Belgian Chocolate Chip and Blueberry Cheesecake. The bar, on the other hand, will come in just one flavor: cookie butter ice cream dipped in a layer of cookie butter and enrobed in Belgian chocolate.
These flavors pretty much speak for themselves, but we have a gut feeling that the ice cream will be just as popular (if not more so) as the cookie butter that came before it. (And if you've forgotten about cookie butter, it's basically a peanut-butter-like spread made entirely from speculaas cookies.)
