Lindsey Vonn Just Debuted Her Emerald Engagement Ring at the VMAs

While most eyes were on Taylor Swift during last night’s 2019 MTV Video Music Awards, we couldn’t stop staring at Lindsey Vonn’s brand-new emerald engagement ring.

Yesterday, the Olympic skier, 34, attended the awards show with her fiancé, professional hockey player P.K. Subban. (Not to be confused with Dorit Kemsley’s husband, P.K., from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.)

On the red carpet, Vonn debuted her stunning new engagement ring from the Canadian athlete, which low-key stole the show.

The accessory features a large rectangular emerald set on a thin silver band, and we’re totally digging the pop of color.

Green holds a special place in both of their hearts. Not only is it Subban’s birthstone, but it is also Vonn’s favorite color.

In an interview with Vogue magazine, Vonn revealed that she didn’t see the proposal coming whatsoever. “We never talked about it or looked at rings,” she said. “But he gave me an emerald necklace at Christmas, and I loved it. I wouldn’t change the ring at all.”

Vonn announced her engagement last Friday, just three days before she debuted her new accessory at the VMAs. Although the athlete admitted that they’re taking their time with wedding planning, at least we have these engagement ring photos to hold us over in the meantime.

Green with envy? Check.
