Jason Momoa may be married to Lenny Kravitz’s ex-wife, Lisa Bonet. However, he has developed quite the bromance with Kravitz.
The Aquaman star celebrated his 42nd birthday on Sunday, and his “brother” made sure to send him a sweet note on social media. “Happy Birthday, @prideofgypsies,” Kravitz captioned a photo on Instagram. “I’m proud to call you my brother. One love. One family.”
The black-and-white shot featured the musician sporting a tuxedo (with an undone tie), while Momoa donned a casual white tank and a camera around his shoulder. The kind words didn’t go unnoticed, considering the now-42-year-old shared his mutual feelings in the comments section of the post.
He wrote, “Love u madly. Mahalo nui loa [two heart emojis].” (Mahalo nui loa means thank you very much in Hawaiian.) Momoa also reposted the photograph on his Instagram Story.
Kravitz wasn’t the only one to show Momoa some love in honor of his birthday. In fact, fellow actor and pal, Josh Brolin, also shared a birthday tribute to his “brother.” (We’re sensing a trend here.)
“Happy birthday to my clan misfit brother,” Brolin wrote in an IG Story.
Prior to his birthday, Momoa marked his last day of 41 with a message of his own, writing, “42 here we go craziest year to date. all ALOHA to you and yours J.”
If you didn’t know, Kravitz was married to Bonet from 1987 to 1993, and they share a daughter, Zoë Kravitz. Bonet tied the knot with Momoa in 2017, which ultimately led to their blended family.Happy belated, Jason!
