We Finally Have the Official Trailer for Emilia Clarke and Henry Golding’s Holiday Movie ‘Last Christmas’

We know it’s still summer, but we’re officially in the Christmas spirit thanks to the new trailer for Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) and Henry Golding’s (Crazy Rich Asians) upcoming holiday film, Last Christmas.

Written by Emma Thompson (who also stars) and Bryony Kimmings, the film follows Kate (Clarke), a young woman who previously had dreams of becoming a singer. After facing a serious illness, Kate finds herself living a cynical life and working as a costumed elf in a Christmas-themed novelty shop.

She eventually runs into Tom (Golding)—multiple times we might add—who helps her to once again find the joys of life.

The film, which gets its title from the classic Wham! song, will feature the music of George Michael, including previously unreleased material.

During an interview with Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday, Golding teased what fans can expect from the holiday flick. "It's a beautiful romcom, set in London at the most magical time of the year," he said. "It's one of the most tear-jerking, hilarious movies you'll ever watch." And by the looks of the trailer, we’re definitely going to need tissues.

This marks Golding’s second film with director Paul Feig (A Simple Favor) and Clarke’s first.

Last Christmas premieres on November 8.
