If you loved Kristin Davis in Holiday in the Wild, you should know the rom-com was only the beginning of her partnership with Netflix.

PureWow recently sat down for an interview with the 55-year-old actress, who shared exclusive details about her upcoming Netflix film. “Luckily, it was filmed in December 2019, which, you know, was just miraculous timing,” she said, referring to the coronavirus pandemic.

Davis went on to tease the star-studded cast, which includes Dermot Mulroney, Shanola Hampton and Greer Grammer. “It was an indie we shot in 17 days,” she told PureWow. “It’s myself and Dermot Mulroney, who I love passionately.”

When asked about her character, Mary, Davis confirmed that it’s a far stretch from playing Charlotte on Sex and the City. “It’s a huge departure for me,” she said. “Let me put it that way.”

Although IMDB currently lists the film title as Deadly Illusions, Davis warned that it’s subject to change. “Honestly, I don’t know what they’re going to call it because they’ve already changed the title three times,” she explained.

In addition to her acting career, Davis also opened up about a new struggle she’s faced as a parent: severe atopic dermatitis (aka eczema). “As a mom, I have struggled with this with one of my children from a very young age,” she said.

The actress is spreading awareness about a new treatment called Dupixent, which was recently approved by the FDA. It’s designed to alleviate the most common eczema symptoms in children aged 6+.
